Solunus is originally from Metru Nui, where he worked as an engineer building advanced machinery in the days before the Great Cataclysm. Word of his skills reached an Order of Mata Nui Spy, who presented Solunus an offer to work for the Order of Mata Nui. Solunus accepted this offer, seeing it as an opportunity to develop his skills even further.

When Solunus arrived at the Order's Headquarters on the Island of Daxia, he was astounded to see the state of the building, which was not built by Matoran. He got to work as soon as he could, upgrading the facilities to utilize the latest technology.

Solunus expanded the Order of Mata Nui Headquarters to add a moat, an underwater airship hangar, a Suva room, a workshop, a firing range, and an automated system to maintain the library. He also upgraded the Order's airships to be able to teleport. He would go on to continue to create weapons, armor, and tools for members of the Order, both new and old.

Solunus eventually established a Neural Network for the Order of Mata Nui, which extended to the entire Matoran Universe, and beyond. This allowed Order members to mentally communicate with each other over massive distances. This development led Solunus to discover a quicker way to give new members mental shielding.

Later, an island teleportation system was discovered beneath the Brotherhood of Makuta Fortress on Destral. Solunus immediately began implementing a similar system for the Island of Daxia after this discovery.

When Makuta Teridax took over the Matoran Universe, he destroyed the Order's fortress. Solunus worked hard to repair the fortress, and after Mata Nui defeated Teridax and reunited Spherus Magna, Solunus was able to teleport Daxia out of the Matoran Universe to the ocean of Aqua Magna.

Abilities & Tools

As a Le-Matoran, Solunus has very limited control over Air. Like all other members of the Order of Mata Nui, Solunus' mind is shielded from mental attack.

Solunus has several possessions of his own invention, including a plasma welder, and a pair of jet boots. He also wears a backpack with a pair of mechanical arms that can extend and act as welding equipment, or an extra pair of hands.

Solunus wears a Kanohi Kakama, the Great Mask of Speed, which he is unable to use as a Matoran. Attached to the side of his mask is a viewfinder which projects a heads-up display in front of his eye to assist in engineering.

Personality

Solunus is highly intelligent, and claims to be able to invent just about anything. He is very friendly and excitable, and has a passion for technology. He's also known to enjoy camping.
