Backstory

Lariska became a Dark Hunter some 10,000 years ago.

Lariska was sent to capture Metru Nui along with a legion of Dark Hunters, which soon developed into the Toa-Dark Hunter War. After convincing Toa Nidhiki to betray the Toa and setting up an ambush, Toa Lhikan discovered the treachery and sent a force of 300 Toa in response. The Dark Hunters were forced to surrender and the war was ended. Lhikan sent all the Dark Hunters back to Odina, along with the shunned Nidhiki. The Shadowed One punished Lariska for her failure. She became close friends with Nidhiki after the war.

Lariska would go on to complete many more missions for the organization. Sometime later, Lariska angered the Shadowed One and lost her left arm as a punishment. It was replaced with a completely mechanical one.

One of Lariska's missions included executing a Toa of Gravity. To prepare for the fight, she trained herself with levitation Kanoka to simulate zero gravity. After successfully completing her mission, Lariska substituted as the head of the Dark Hunters while the Shadowed One and Sentrakh ventured to Metru Nui to find out who had killed Nidhiki and Krekka.

Lariska was later hired by the Order of Mata Nui to join a strike team composed of Roodaka, Brutaka, Makuta Spiriah, Carapar, Takadox, and Vezon tasked with freeing the former Brotherhood of Makuta leader Miserix. After Brutaka had her secretly follow the group, he introduced her to the rest of the team.

After witnessing Carapar's death at the hands of Tren Krom, Takadox's betrayal and escape, and Spiriah's death at the hands of Miserix himself, Lariska was able to identify a weak link in the chains that bound Miserix and destroyed them, ultimately freeing him. Departing on Miserix's back, the team - including Lariska - went on to assist the Order of Mata Nui in their war against the Brotherhood of Makuta, as well as the reign of Teridax.

After the defeat of Teridax and the reformation of Spherus Magna, Lariska returned to the Dark Hunters' service.

Abilities & Tools

Lariska is incredibly fast and agile and can perform astounding acrobatic maneuvers. She can be very quiet when hunting, and she has senses so acute that she is even able to detect users of the Kanohi Volitak.

Lariska is a skilled hand-to-hand fighter and an expert with many weapons, but she prefers throwing daggers, which she sometimes coats with poison. Currently, she carries a set of combat daggers made from Protosteel, which the Order of Mata Nui gave the Dark Hunters as payment.

Although she is able to wear and use Kanohi like the rest of her species, she chooses not to do so.

Personality

Lariska is tough and cynical. She does not like to rest, preferring to constantly be moving around. She has even been known to spontaneously start doing somersaults and backflips.

The Shadowed One has noted that Lariska is a Dark Hunter whom the other Hunters fear. He cited this fact when he asked Lariska to run the organization in his absence.

Trivia

Lariska was designed and built by Gerou100 for DuckBricks' Lariska Fanon Contest, in which it was the winning entry.

Lariska's theme is 'Battlefield of the Flower Threshold,' which originates from the Touhou Project series as the theme for Kasen Ibaraki.
