Khafu
Khafu was an Ancient Toa of Stone created before the standards of the Matoran Species were decided upon by the Great Beings. He was a member of the Toa Artakha and the Hand of Artakha before joining the Order of Mata Nui. He would later be killed by the weakened form of Flandrex.

Backstory
Khafu was created as a Toa by the Great Beings, not long after Helryx. This was before the standards of the Matoran Species were decided upon by the Great Beings, and therefore he was classified as an Ancient Toa.
Not long after his creation, he joined the Hand of Artakha, and later, Helryx's Toa team, the Toa Artakha. When the Hand of Artakha disbanded, and Helryx founded the Order of Mata Nui, she invited the Toa Artakha to join the Order. Khafu gladly accepted.
Years later, Khafu helped the Toa Artakha during the Dimensional Relocation of Luna Magna, and assisted in collecting and hiding the many powerful artifacts displaced by the incident.
During the incident, Helryx was struck by a blast from an alternate-universe Spear of Fusion carried by the Vezon and Fenrakk from that universe. This separated the light and shadow aspects of Helryx's spirit into two separate beings - Helryx and Xyrleh. Helryx rescued the sickly Xyrleh after the incident, unaware of her true nature, and began nursing her back to health.
Khafu was known to enjoy befriending small creatures, and instantly took a liking to Xyrleh. However, after regaining her strength, Xyrleh attacked and killed Khafu, absorbing his spirit energy to become stronger.
Devastated, Helryx abandoned Xyrleh in the wild. However, Xyrleh survived thanks to the spirit energy absorbed from Khafu, and went on to terrorize the Matoran Universe and become the feared 'Scarlet Devil,' Flandrex.
Abilities & Tools
As a Toa of Stone, Khafu could create and manipulate Stone and Stone Elemental Energy. As an Ancient Toa, he was one of the strongest and most experienced Toa of Stone ever created, and was powerful enough to generate avalanches of stone with minimal effort.
Like all other members of the Order of Mata Nui, Khafu's mind was shielded from mental attack.
Khafu possessed a pair of mechanical claws which fit over his hands. These claws could rapidly and precisely carve intricate sculptures out of stone, and functioned as devastating weapons. Khafu would also occasionally carry a sling, which he used to fling boulders at his enemies.
Khafu wore a Kanohi Pakari, the Great Mask of Strength. During his time in the Hand of Artakha, his right eye was damaged. He chose to cover this damage with an eyepatch fastened over his mask.
Personality
Khafu was a quiet, meditative, and gentle being. However, many would be surprised at how powerful he was, due to his often reserved nature.
Khafu loves small creatures, but this aspect of his personality led to his downfall, thanks to the betrayal of Flandrex.
Trivia
Khafu was designed and built by community member The MOCingbird for the First Toa Team Contest. The MOCingbird won the contest to design Khafu, and his design was made the canon appearance of the character to the Knight of Nights Universe.
Khafu's theme is 'Ghostly Band ~ Phantom Ensemble,' which originates from the Touhou Project series as the theme for the Prismriver Sisters. He shares this theme with Glace and Shelok.
