Master Order of Mata Nui Spy - Ancient Toa of Air

Backstory

Ayhax was created as a Toa by the Great Beings, not long after Helryx. This was before the standards of the Matoran Species were decided upon by the Great Beings, and therefore she is classified as an Ancient Toa.

Not long after her creation, she joined the Hand of Artakha, and later, Helryx's Toa team, the Toa Artakha. When the Hand of Artakha disbanded, and Helryx founded the Order of Mata Nui, she invited the Toa Artakha to join the Order. Ayhax gladly accepted.

Years later, Ayhax helped the Toa Artakha during the Dimensional Relocation of Luna Magna, and assisted in collecting and hiding the many powerful artifacts displaced by the incident.

Later, Shelok heard news of Makuta Teridax's takeover of the Brotherhood of Makuta through connections he had with the Nynrah Ghosts. He, Ayhax, and Glace felt the need to investigate. However, Helryx disagreed. Unbeknownst to her, Shelok organized his own investigation, and recruited Ayhax and Glace's help.

Glace devised a plan to ambush the Brotherhood of Makuta and reverse the mutiny of Miserix, against Helryx's orders. However, the Brotherhood somehow anticipated their attack, and the three Toa Artakha were captured. In order to preserve the secrecy of the Order of Mata Nui, Glace sacrificed himself to free Shelok, who then used an Iron Nova Blast to annihilate their captors. Ayhax escaped, and returned to Helryx with the grave news of their failure. From that day on, she vowed to never disobey an order from Helryx again.

Eventually, the Order was sectionalized into specialized divisions, and Ayhax was put in charge of the Intelligence Division of the Order.

As Master Spy of the Intelligence Division, Ayhax's job is to command, train, and recruit spies for the Order. The Intelligence Division is the second smallest division in the Order, just behind the Assassin Division. It consists of around 35 spies, most of whom are spread out around the Matoran Universe indefinitely to report the goings on outside of Daxia.

Abilities & Tools

As a Toa of Air, Ayhax can create, control, and absorb Air and Air Elemental energy. She can also suck the air out of an environment to create a vacuum. As an Ancient Toa, she is one of the strongest and most experienced Toa of Air ever created, and is powerful enough to start hurricanes with minimal effort.

Like all other members of the Order of Mata Nui, Ayhax's mind is shielded from mental attack.

Ayhax carries twin daggers as weapons, but prefers to use them only as a last resort if her elemental powers fail her.

She wears a pair of nightvision flight goggles to protect her eyes when flying at incredibly high speeds, and to assist in recognizance. These goggles also record everything she sees.

Ayhax uses a wingpack specifically designed for her by Solunus. Each wing has a four smaller thrusters built in for extra speed and finer control, which give the appearance of glowing feathers.

Ayhax wears a Kanohi Miru, the Great Mask of Levitation, which was re-forged to change its appearance to match the Nuva variant of the same mask.

Personality

Ayhax loves flying more than anything else. She is known to be very sassy and happy-go-lucky. She is very good friends with Helryx, and her playful attitude does a lot to relieve Helryx’s stress from leading the Order. But despite what her attitude might suggest, Ayhax is actually very mature, albeit reckless.

She spends a lot of her downtime trying to beat her current air speed record, which is currently 4.9 times the speed of sound. Spreading rumors is also a hobby of hers.

Trivia

Ayhax is directly inspired by Aya Shameimaru, a character from the Touhou Project series. Her name and some aspects of her character where based directly on Aya. Ayhax also shares Aya’s theme, 'Youkai Mountain ~ Mysterious Mountain.'
